Time to conceive

Ovarian reserves decrease with age and taking a test, can help you know your status and plan for the future.

How does the test work?

The Ovarian Reserve test measures the level of AMH (Anti Mullerian Hormone) in your blood, giving a good indication of the number of eggs you have left. This can help indicate your fertility potential, both for the present and the future. If a woman's AMH levels are below what is normal for her age, this indicates that her pregnancy chances are lower than what is expected at her age. If you are thinking about having IVF, this test can also give you an indication of how you are likely to respond to treatment.

What does it test for?

Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) is a hormone secreted by granulosa cells in ovarian follicles. The Ovarian Reserve test measures that amount of Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH) in a woman's blood and indicates the number of eggs you have left. Abnormally high levels of AMH can indicate the presence of PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome).

Who should get tested?

Any woman planning, trying to conceive or considering IVF. The ovarian reserve check can allow you to gauge how long you have left to conceive. This test will allow you to plan and make the necessary steps towards increasing your chances of getting pregnant in the future.

When to test?

This test can be taken on any day of your menstrual cycle. Levels do not fluctuate, making it a reliable measure of your ovarian reserve.
